Ammi’s Links

Thanks for stopping by....

Originally from south central Kentucky, we moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 for the tech not the twang. In 2023 we packed up and moved to Split, Croatia for a new adventure. After 18 wonderful months in the Adriatic we headed to our next adventure. Back in the states, we're now exploring New England from Providence, RI.

When I was the perfect age for glue sticks my dad let me help finish up the layout for the camera at his print shop. This early experience led me to join the high school yearbook for several of my high school years. I was hooked.

I went into marketing and print design. I've had thousands of my designs in print. The web was growing so I adapted. I became a web accessibility subject matter expert, speaking on the subject several times. I've helped upkeep over 150 websites & application in hands-on technical roles. I've built over 100 websites, over 90 of those I designed from scratch – some of them multiple times.

I have a passion for making the internet accessible for all. I want to help local businesses, non-profits, and communities get a web presence they control and own so they can multiply their abilities and extend their reach.

Aunt Ammi Reads The Tale of Peter Rabbit

For the first episode of this project, I wanted something short, something my nephew—whom I’ve never met in person—might enjoy, and something that captures the feeling of spring. Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter felt like the perfect choice. Her stories were some of my childhood favorites, and I’m sure I once read them to my brother. Now, from afar, I get to share them with his children too.Continue reading→

2025 Daniel J Anthology | Chapter 1

I've started recording my covers as a way to capture what I can play at this moment in my life—welcome to 2025 Chapter 1! In this chapter, you'll hear my renditions of Queens of the Stone Age's *Vampyre of Time and Memory*, Fitz and the Tantrums' *I Just Wanna Shine*, MISSIOS' *Can You Feel the Sun*, and alt-J's *Breezeblocks*. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoy playing them.Continue reading→

Our Projects

  • C&E Apps

C&E Apps are web applications made by Daniel Carter & Ammi Embry. We started building cool things together when the year was mostly zeros.

  •
    C&E Gives

Donating custom‑built WordPress websites to nonprofit organizations, providing them with a functional, easy‑to‑manage online presence.

  •
Hartford & Prudie Willis Family Photos

A gift to Ammi's Dad. A mostly automated website tied to Google Photo albums so that my paternal family can share historic photos across generations.

I feel like shit, the weather's changing day-to-day and it's my worst allergy season. I get sick like this every autumn, but my brain keeps wondering if the little Chihuahua that licked the inside of my nose (back of my eye) gave me something. I didn't know Chihuahua's had hummingbird tongues. View Original

Today my favorite person turns 44. Happy Birthday @dcarter.dev I'm so lucky to have you as my person. You're kind & loving even when things are stupid hard. May this year around the sun be all the things you wish for. We celebrated yesterday at MFA Boston & The Great Elephant Migration.

On a walk and Cirrus just came to the wagon and booped the water bottle to ask for water. Daniel and I just looked at each other, and got the water ready. #dogs #pups #smartpup

The McFluffington Pups are trying out a brand new dog daycare today. They were excited, we're nervous about Magnus' first time since his spinal injury away from us. I'm sure they will be fine, exhausted, and have a bunch of new friends when we pick them up.

Cheekwood is not only one of my favorite places in Nashville, it's also one of the loveliest botanical gardens we've visited. Don't let some rich assholes ruin something beautiful and historic for the greater Nashville area, please sign the petition and share this post.https://www.change.org/p/save-cheekwood-help-protect-our-history-and-culture View Original

My Lightroom Presets

  • My Everyday Preset

I've used this natural preset for years for all our photos. It feels natural, clean and bright. It started as a Preset I found, but I combined & changed the settings to be what I wanted.

  •
    Wes Anderson-ish Preset

From @ayitsphotography on Instagram's Reel. I made it into an easy to use Preset.
