For an idea of what we've been up to since February, we're nearly done remodeling our new house. The painter finished today, so we're nearly done. The kitchen is getting open shelving that we're installing soon. We're so excited for our new home! View Original

Functional tests (like Selenium or Cypress) are quality tools, not engineering tools. Unit tests and integration tests are engineering tools. Maintaining functional tests are a full time job and will fail without constant attention. View Original
I saw too many mentions of Russia "organically" on Reddit today. A post about a Tetris repainting mentioned it. Tetris was created by a Russian-born US engineer. He's now a US engineer. I saw a "Russian" climber on a bridge earlier. The post would have been no different if I hadn't known the nationality of the climber. There's a lot of slightly positive sentiment regarding Russia right now. It's never the point of the post, it's just a meaningless detail so they can ride along into your psyche. View Original
