Southern Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self rising flour - 150g | Or mix 1 cup (150g) all purpose flour, 1½ tsp (7.4g) baking powder, ¼ tsp (1.25g) salt
  • 1 cup white sugar - 150g
  • 1 cup milk - 150g
  • 1 stick unsalted butter - 4oz or 113.4g
  • 2 cup fruit of your choice (peaches, berries, cherries, etc) - 300g

Instructions

Pre-Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350° F or 175° C
  • If using All purpose flour, mix in baking powder and salt
  • Prep Fruit (depit, slice, etc)
  • Mix flour, sugar, and milk

Preparation

  • Melt butter in pan or skillet
  • Pour flour, sugar, and milk mixture over melted butter
  • Add fruit over top

Baking & Serving

  • Bake for 30 minutes or until top is brown
  • Let cool 30 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream or alone.
