Qué decir de mí misma. Nací en el norte de Tennessee, pero sólo porque nuestro hospital local de Kentucky no daba a luz en aquel momento. Crecí y fui a la escuela en la zona rural del sur de Kentucky.
Cuando llegó la universidad, como no podía ser de otra manera, fui a una escuela de Kentucky (Western Kentucky University). Me especialicé en Diseño (como arte, no como marketing). Allí hice esculturas, cerámica, pinturas al óleo y muchos, muchos dibujos al carboncillo. Estudié más historia del arte de la que puedo recordar. Sobresalí en arte digital y me lo pasé muy bien.
¿Qué más? De adulta nos mudamos a Nashville, TN. Me encanta montar en bicicleta, tocar el ukelele y la cerámica siempre que tengo ocasión. Echo de menos nuestras clases semanales de cerámica y espero volver a practicarla algún día.
In late 2022/2023, we moved with our pups from Nashville to Split, Croatia. The pace of life was so different and I loved being able to walk to bakeries, markets, and historic sites.
We've now settled back in the US in Providence, RI. New England life has been great, although winter has been... let's say "an adjustment". Despite this, we've found New Englanders universally welcoming and kind. Not always nice (by their own admission), but almost always kind. They frequently claim that they're rude, brash, and unwelcoming while simultaneously being some of the kindest, most welcoming folks I've ever met. I feel so fortunate to be here with our little family on this new adventure.
I’m an experienced software engineer. I love figuring out how things work and how I can build rad software to make them work better. I now work for Autodesk Construction Solutions who have been amazing throughout a very difficult time in my life and our subsequent choice to live as digital nomads.
In the past, I’ve built software for Eventbrite, medical software, qualitative research, point-of-sale, and manufacturing.
He llegado a la conclusión de que mi legado en el mundo del software no será el software que he dejado atrás.
