Originally from south central Kentucky, we moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 for the tech not the twang. In 2023 we packed up and moved to Split, Croatia for a new adventure. After 18 wonderful months in the Adriatic we headed to our next adventure. Back in the states, we're now exploring New England from Providence, RI.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and subsequently I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In 2021 I found my ME/CF in remission, for which I count myself very lucky. In 2025 I had some setbacks with ME/CF, but have successfully been working towards remission again.

When I was the perfect age for glue sticks my dad let me help finish up the layout for the camera at his print shop. I loved using the same glue-stick I used at school to do big people's work, I also liked the precision it took to line up the text perfectly straight with the blue lines that would not be visible to the plate camera. This early experience led me to join the high school yearbook for several of my high school years. High school yearbooks in the late 90s were an odd mix of the old and the new, some good old fashion glue-sticks, and some pages painstakingly laid out in PageMaker on one of the two computers available. I was hooked.

After school I went into marketing and print design. I've had thousands of my designs in print from production facilities, museum swag, magazine ads, billboards, and more. The web was growing so I adapted. I taught myself HTML, CSS, Javascript (this was pre JQuery), and PHP. I started building websites along with my other skills. I became a web accessibility subject matter expert, speaking on the subject several times. I've helped upkeep over 150 websites & application in hands-on technical roles. I've built over 100 websites, over 90 of those I designed from scratch – some of them multiple times.

I have a passion for making the internet accessible for all. I want to help local businesses, non-profits, and communities get a web presence they control and own so they can multiply their abilities and extend their reach.
